Ask us directly →A thermally broken aluminum profile is two aluminum sections joined by a low-conductivity polyamide strip, so heat cannot travel straight through the frame. The strip is rolled into knurled races in each half and crimped, which makes the assembly structural as well as insulating — the composite behaves as one section once it is crimped.
6063-T6 is the industry convention for architectural window, door and facade profiles. It extrudes cleanly into complex thin-wall shapes and anodizes to a consistent, repeatable finish, which matters more on a visible facade than the extra strength a 6061 would bring. Send us the alloy and temper your system calls for, or the application, and we will confirm it.
